When I lived in this space, I had to have a million dollar insurance policy on my house and car. I had to own car, boat, everything insured, so I wouldn't get sued because I was car pulling. I'd pick up a bunch of people to get into my car and I'd give them a ride to work. If I had an accident, I could lose everything. I had to have really good car insurance. But here, you don't need car insurance. Just for your car, because the car is the most important thing. Not you, you are important. If you get hurt, the Quebec will take care of you. But you can't sue anybody. If I get hit by a car on my bicycle and I'm paralyzed for the rest of my life, there's nothing I can do about it. The guy, he won't care. All he's going to worry about is that debt I put in front of his car. He wants to get that thing. So that's what the insurance is for. Yep, and the good old SAAQ will look after you. Yeah, it's a very special place, Quebec. They've got a couple of things, like the victim assistance programs and stuff like that that are good. But there's not much that's good in the system there that I find. I don't know. I guess it's just different. It works. They've been doing it forever, so it works.
