Here are a couple more interesting facts. Like you said, the show was on October 30th, 1938. H.G. Wells and Orson Welles only met once at a theater in San Antonio, Texas. It was a brief meeting. That's the only time they ever met. I remember I asked about the FCC. I wonder if they were around. They actually were in effect in 1934. So four years after the FCC was born, Good old Orson Welles, you know, in the hot seat. I'll tell you what, the FCC back then was a lot tougher than they are today.
