Now I'm not entirely sure of the reason for putting the military in, whether it's for safety reasons, you know, if the state or the country is under attack or a threat from terrorists or whatever, and if for that reason they say yes, that's fine for public protection. However, if it's to stop people protesting, quietly protesting, I think that's not right. People should be allowed the right to self-protest no matter what. It's just to go out in countries where there's free speech. The UK summer last year I noticed there was a bit of a protest at the weekend and it started to get quite serious actually between immigrants and UK citizens and I think the pollution seemed quite heavy. Yet I understand why we don't want violence but on the other hand peaceful protest should still be allowed to go ahead. It's a right of these countries, it's what our grandfathers and ancestors all fought for. So really it's down to what the police thought it was for. If it's for a security reason, for public safety, to equal a terrorist attack, then yes. If it's to stop peaceful protest, then no. That's the earlier grain in it.
