Well, in the 90s, with the, being into CB, I always had that dream of a kilowatt. I always wanted it for years and then I thought about it in HF and well, it never happened. I never cared to pursue it and it's funny, now I have the money to get many kilowatts and I could care less. It's like not even that exciting. I'd rather spend it on a phone. But in older days, even when I would have a few hundred watts, it's most of what I ever had, right? I have a 400 watt in the closet at home and even when I would pass it out, I didn't tell anyone. I just kind of felt, why do they need to know? So I didn't really have those things for bragging rights because I usually didn't tell people. I just went on the air. I didn't even ask how I found it. I figured if I'm making the exchange, that's reported out. All Star Node 6222, located in Shelton, Washington. There was this guy, I think he was in Spain, or he was out on the island just before Europe, I forget the name of that island, every single day. He didn't have to tell you what he was running for power, he was running a kilowatt. I don't think he was running 5,000 watts, I think he went for the kilowatt, but you got to have a deeper pocket, because now it costs a lot more to get the kilowatt. I mean, that 10kW station, 10,000 watts, that's what he's running. And you hear him every day, plug that meter down. I didn't even have to turn my antenna towards the east to hear this guy. Man, wow. Just like a shortwave radio station.
