This is now after our Rain or Shine Net that we had at Gas Works Park, Season 7 Episode 6, which was this past Saturday, which was a big success. But what's coming up is the PSRG Educational Meeting on November 8th. The topic is Satellites and the International Space Station. I've used one of the repeaters on the 2-meter repeater, actually it's a crossband repeater on the ISS, but there are other things there too. So I'll read the blurb since it's basically the announcement. The November PSRG Educational Meeting is Saturday, November 8th at 1.30pm on Zoom. That's Pacific time, which will be Pacific Standard Time by next week. And by the way, the date of the changeover, folks, isn't the first, it's the second this year. I change it up. But the topic is amateur radio in space, operating ham radio satellites and the ISS, presented by Mike Thomas, KBH-BNY of Zero Retries fame. Synops is how to work ham radio satellites using modest equipment, with an emphasis on operating the ISS. The ISS is especially easy because you couldn't see it at night, although it is still usable for radio in the daytime, but you can't see it in the daytime. Anyway there's an onboard repeater, a crossband repeater as it happens, APRS digipeater, and you sometimes can talk with astronauts. My brother Clay did it with Don Pettit on a space shuttle mission.
