Well hey Brian, this is Justin, KK7QES. I'm doing very well, thank you. I've joined the net a bit late tonight. I just started listening to the round before this one and heard Joan and Rebecca and your check-ins. I love hearing that you were hoping to test your generator. I think that that's awesome. We didn't lose power last night, which is so surprising. We lose power at the slightest flutter of a breeze in my neighborhood. But I have learned because of that, testing all this stuff and the preparedness that you have planned for, like Paul was sharing, keep routers on and all that stuff. It's really valuable to have an actual outage every now and then and see if all your plans work. Anyway, cool stuff. Tonight we had some friends over for pumpkin carving with the kids. That was really fun, although we realized our friends and children are younger, so it ended up being my girls carving pumpkins and the grown-ups of the kids carving pumpkins. But we still had fun. Pumpkin number one was the face of a raccoon, and pumpkin number two was the face of a pug. My girls decided that next year they want to try something less complicated, and I think I agree with them. They worked really hard at it, and it was cool to see that. I got to make one of my favorite fall soups. I've made it twice this season already. It's this creamy chicken and bacon and potato kind of thing. It's very rich and heavy and hearty, and the perfect thing on a cold night with some crusty sourdough bread. It's a really fun dish to make because there's a lot of steps, and the smell just gets better the entire time. You start with bacon, and you cook that up and take it out of the pan. Then you sear your chicken, and then you take all that out of the pan. You just build this beautiful fond. Then you add a mirepoix, and then you make a roux, and then you add a bunch of chicken stock. Oh my word, it takes a while, but it was just delicious. I'm going to have some more for lunch tomorrow. That's what's going on with me over here. I hope everyone is well out there. I hope folks have power restored by now if anyone lost power, but I'll send it back to them. This is KK7 QES.
