Tootsie Rolls can be found in almost any trick-or-treaters basket of candy, and it was the first penny candy to be individually wrapped. First produced in 1896, this inexpensive chocolatey, chewy candy was immediately popular, and was even part of American soldier steel rations during World War II. I think I'd want to try one from back then, but hey, I like them these days. Good job, sir.
