Hey there, good afternoon to you. VA3EWV up there in Ontario Province, some place I havenít visited in quite some time. Once upon a time I lived in Rochester, New York but that was many years ago. Hereís Casey Fours at YC, Howard and Orlando, Florida coming to you live at All Star. Do you want to do any contesting? Well, other than Field Day, unfortunately not. I live in an antenna restricted apartment and itís like a Faraday cage here with all the noise from Wi-Fi and LED lights and not only that I face the pool so itís kind of like a brick wall and I can get into the repeaters here for my apartment. As it stands, repeaters here locally are very, very quiet other than maybe some activity on a 440 machine thatís strictly Spanish and we have a large Puerto Rican community here so some of them are hams and thatís typically where they hang out. They like to hang out on their local UHF box there but like I said everything else is fairly quiet unfortunately. There are a couple of repeaters that I do monitor here. One serves the Disney area and I just have an HT parked on that one because I never know what Iím going to hear. Sometimes I get lucky and talk to someone whoís visiting from out of town and we have another UHF repeater that is down by the county convention center that serves what they call the tourist corridor or international drive and sometimes Iíll hear people from out of town on there and I talk with a gentleman who was visiting from Ireland not too long ago and even worked among Simplex too because weíre so close. But anyway, good to hear everybody out there and Iím in the process of packing. Weíll be moving a couple of hours north of here to Gainesville. Iíve got a new job and Iím looking forward to that so Iím preparing for my move as we speak here. So 7-3, have yourself a great day and look forward to checking again sometime.
