Yeah, this is Xavier, and it's been a really long time since I've had a check-in on this net. But I was listening along and I figured that would be great because the power just went out here in Kirkland. Quite windy outside, and when I looked out the window I saw what I thought was lightning, but it didn't come from the sky to down, it was actually in the distance. So it could have been a transformer or something like that exploding. It looked very like lightning, but it wasn't, I could tell it wasn't. But I was like, oh man, I hope that's not too bad. Whatever's going on over there. Stand by, Rick. But yeah, I'm actually standing outside on my patio just for the best reception here to my radio. But yeah, it really stormed me out here, power's out. Hope everybody is safe. It's been a long time since I've been on the net, but I just want to say hi to everybody and hope everyone's doing well. Back to net control. Thank you Xavier, thanks for that report and what's going on in Kirkland. And yeah, it certainly sounds like a transformer, that does happen in this nasty weather. Yeah, quite a nasty night. I'm sure everybody out there listening knows that if your power's out and you have cell service, you can always check outage maps on Seattle City Light. And I'm sure Puget Sound, Puget Energy has the same thing, so you can tell if your outage has been noted by them yet and what their estimated time to repair is. I always find that reassuring. You don't get many outages under Seattle City Light. Somehow they, well, it's just a less rural area somehow and they keep the power going. So anyway, very good. Thank you so much. What was I going to say? Oh, I was just going to comment overall on a net like this, it's kind of cool. We have this terrible weather out and people are losing power. But as hands with our batteries and our antennas and our non-grid communication systems, we can have a nice cozy chat while everyone else is just hunkering down. We can keep our community going. It's kind of a nice thing. Well, very good. Thanks to all of you for joining me for the October 25th PSRG 9 p.m. social net. We'd like to thank the Puget Sound repeater group for the use of this repeater. For more information about the group, please check out our website at PSRG.org. The PSRG has been hosting daily nets for over 30 years. The nets are a great opportunity to test your equipment. Remember, if you don't test your equipment, we can't hear you. We'll now be returning the repeater to normal operation. This is Bill K7 W.F.B. signing off at 10. 13 p.m. Good night and good luck.
