Hydrogen emits around 1,420 MHz, so 1.4 GHz. In fact, they like to listen for potential signals from advanced civilizations within that frequency range. Hydrogen is also referred to as a waterhole because it tends to be, on a cosmic scale, tends to be a rather quiet area of radioactivity in the universe, and there's not a lot of interference happening around that range.
