So these are the ones that are most alarming because you don't see them at the last moment. Some of these bigger ones like this one here, I mentioned the size of it, if you can spot them far enough away, it can give enough time to maybe do something about it. We're in the infancy stage of actually dealing with these asteroids, which is why they had the DART program some years back to see how an impactor would affect them, an object, a large object in space, could they actually interfere with its trajectory enough that it would prevent it from slamming into Earth? Yes, that would show that it would work. Others are thinking of now blasting them with some atomic warheads, but then of course you do that. Unless you vaporize the whole thing, you've got particles and big pieces coming in as well. So we've got a way to go before we can actually defend ourselves effectively from some of these big objects coming in, particularly something, the size of the dinosaur 66 million years ago.
