This particular contrail is a faint linear trail. It's distinct from the spiral arms of the galaxy. The data strongly suggests that a compact object like a black hole was responsible. As the object passed through, gas was squeezed out, resulting in a contrail. In the object, there's likely 10 million solar masses with a velocity of about 186 miles per second, or 300 kilometers a second. So 10 million solar masses is dropping.
