Well, it was calm, quiet, and weird all in one go, so that went okay. And traffic is kind of doing a bit of a crawl on one street right now. I'm not sure why, but it's cramped. Otherwise, the evening looks good. And around 5pm or a little after, I was sitting around on the HF rig and decided to try a different frequency. It's still within the 10 meter range. Well, as far as I know, it's still within the 10 meter range. I went up to 25.5, I believe it may have been 6.770. I was up there and accidentally caught two people talking up there. I could be wrong about the frequency, but I was in that range. So I tried to make contact in between the gap. And lo and behold, well, it was hit and miss, mostly miss. I gave it a try, but I thought they heard me and ended up telling them I couldn't hear them. Because they were fading out, too much static. But I did hear people on 10 meters. So I was happy as a kitten today. And like some of you out there, I did not tinker on the computer or laptop or anything because there does seem to be some strange glitches going on out there. But hopefully they get it straightened out to where we don't have to worry about it. But as to the HF rig, it definitely works. It does what it's supposed to, but I couldn't make contact with those two people. And it sounded like they were trying to work with the mic gain on equipment, so I left them alone. But hey, I was amazed. But next time I think I'll write the stuff down in the log book so I know where I went to next time. Otherwise I had fun. J.J. Isev on the ESM. Back to the net.
