Go ahead sir. Yeah there are a number of RVRN members that actually, well a lot of people use remote. I also work the YL system, the YL-SYS-NET and there's a guy from northwest Canada that uses a remote in Beaufort, Georgia for their late night western net. Anyway, if you're in an RV and you have a home base and that home base is set up for remote, no matter where you go, if you have cell service, you could run 1500 watts off a 100 foot tower if that's what you have at home. The only catch to me, to me the only thing that worries me is all your equipment has to be on all the time while you're a 100 or 1000 miles away from home. And for me personally, when I'm not on the air, I shut down my equipment and I physically disconnect my antenna. You know I unscrew it and disconnect it from my antenna switch here in the shack. So that's a little scary to turn everything on and leave it on while you're away from home for weeks or months. But if you're not afraid of that, I would agree with you Hank, the remote control ham radio stuff is amazing. Over.
