I like William Conrad as the radio Matt Dillon because he kills everybody. All a Gunsmoke episode is, is just hearing him literally smoke somebody. Before the show's over, that's what it's about. He's gonna outgun somebody. My favorite was the episode where they kidnapped Kitty. And he, him and Chester have to pretty much ambush the guys coming out with her. And he says, what do you think? We're not here to give them a grand surprise. Unless you mean that we're gonna kill them both. So, yeah, the TV one that most people probably remember better, probably because it's on TV. That guy was more diplomatic. He wasn't Matt Dillon. Matt Dillon was trigger happy. He was like the blood and crips compared to the TV version. The TV version, that Matt Dillon, he, you know, sometimes he tries to be the peacemaker. William Conrad has Matt Dillon on the radio. He smoked everybody. So, he didn't care. And speaking of smoking.
