And after we had been doing this for about two and a half weeks, walking back and forth after dark, because when we would go there it was still daylight, but when we were walking back it was after dark. So we got to the cafe one night and we saw this sign on the wall and I couldn't read it because it was in Swahili, but it had like warnings on it. And someone read it for us and it turns out it said, please do not travel this section of road from this point to this point after dark. Road is deemed unsafe, which means we have robbers and criminals and muggers hiding in the woods waiting for people to come by and they'll rob you, only to find out that's the exact stretch of road. We were walking every single night getting back to the house from the cafe. So it's lucky we weren't kidnapped or held for ransom or something like that, but yeah, that was a scary place, a scary time, and just an all around generally scary experience. 73 boys, girls, ladies, gentlemen, everybody have a great day.
