All right, for our dwarf plants we have Ceres. Ceres was at opposition back on the second, rising as the sun sets. Ceres is about 15 p.m. in the evening. Ceres can be spotted low to the south and near the mid-week when it is highest in the sky. Ceres is at its best viewing for the year of this month. Ceres is in the constellation of Cetus, shining at magnitude 7.7. And Cetus is fairly low, so it will be fairly low to the south. So you will need a fairly flat southern horizon if you want to have a chance to spot Ceres. Then we have Pluto. Pluto is setting, what time is it setting? Almost midnight, just a few minutes before midnight this week. The best time to spot Pluto will be in the late evening when it is highest in the sky to the southwest. Pluto is in the constellation of Capricorn, shining at magnitude 15.3. By the time it is highest in the south, the sun is actually setting, so it will be a little bit more difficult. You will have to definitely have some dark skies. Good luck in spotting Neptune, Ceres and Pluto. Large telescope and dark skies will be needed. And now is the time for those dark skies. So get out away from those cities with those big scopes and take a look at all the planets and the stars.
