Back then, IRLP was something new. It was unbelievable, everybody rushed to it. That's probably what it was. There was nodes all over the place. I was lucky because on the way to work on Interstate 95, there was an AM operator. He had his antenna right on the shoreline. On my way to work, I was using IRLP, and on my way home I could use IRLP. It was fun. I couldn't believe it. Then I had to find out where the nodes were, so I started writing down the ones I wanted to use, the busy ones. It was something that, a lot of stuff came out at that time. I don't know if you ever got involved in this or not. What's that thing, Packet Radio, did you ever play around with that? No, but the girl I was dating at the time was Laura KC8 GMT who passed away. We were seriously considering tying it up at some point. We just never acted on it. There were a couple occasions like that. Same with Marsha. Well, Marsha had. She passed away too. Anyways, Laura, she used to do a lot of it for, it was some kind of slow kind of email or whatever it was in 98 and on. So, no, I just, at that time I pretty much did the 2 meters, 440, the rest of the bands. I wondered about clubs. See, now I can look towards the old Kevin and say that, well, I can have some wisdom, like hindsight wisdom, because I was very trusting at that time of radio clubs and that too. So, I've ever since changed my mind about that. You can't trust all of them. But, anyways, I was kind of wanting to learn and the rest of it. And then Echo Link came somewhere after the 2000s.
