Yeah, I have a straight key and a paddle. I don't use them much. I got them in case I ever do. Tough as nails too. I didn't get to all its glory, I didn't get an MSJ Keyer. I had one. And it had those little steel bearings in it so the key could pivot. I hated that. I had two of those. And every time I tried to work on them those stupid bearings would fall out and it would be so gosh darn annoying. So I ended up getting a little scrounging around and found a military J37 straight key. If you've heard of them or have seen them you're probably familiar with that or the J36 model or 38. I know those are popular from military people back in the day. Not sure if you ever had to deal with one. But yeah. I'm not sure how long you were in by the way but I know the designation would be different for MOS. I wanted to be a 28 uniform which I guess you could pretty much say is what you were, a communications specialist.
