My brother worked for SCT for several years before he retired. And he worked there when they converted the dial, the rotary, over to digital. Wow, what a nightmare that was. The whole city was on copper. They didn't have fiber or nothing at that time. My brother loved that job. He was the happiest guy there. My brother had the patience to listen to his phone calls all day long. He'd find a nice looking girl. My brother, I learned one thing. You know what I know? He'd listen to my phone calls too. There was no privacy in the house. You couldn't make a phone call without your brother listening. And he'd tell my mom all sorts. He'd be keeping tabs on the girls and all that stuff. That's the phone company thing. Anyway, I better shut up. It's almost time for the nut. I've got to put on some more coffee. I'm going to be listening. I'm not sure if there's a nut today or not.
