The tones you can play music with are better than touch tone and they would be multi frequency tones, MF tones. They used to use them for electronic switching on the phone, right? Like cross bar used to have it. I think ESS used to have it. Like you'd call a number and it would go buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh. I can't read those. My friend Dave can and like a handful of others can. All of those have more to do with the rooting where this call is going. The middle digit sends it on its way. So those are multi frequency tones. No one uses any more at all. But yeah, people used to make music out of it all the time. I think Electric Cafe play around with those. They're insane. Oh, well I know another way to smoke out the PL sounds. Well remember it's a sub audible tone. And it's mostly yeah, hmm, hmm, hmm. And of course if you actually hear it, it would be very hard to hear the stations on it because it's in the way. Echo Link for some reason won't mute those. So I can hear them on people's links when they're on. I've heard them getting on these nets with them. But All Stars mutes them. So chances are people might not say anything about it but eventually if it's really bad somebody will just tell you that they can't copy you. So Echo Link does not mute sub audible tones.
