However, a bit of a light at the end of this tunnel is the Vera C. Rubin Observatory in Chile, which began scanning that night sky. It was the world's largest digital camera. You might be able to find either or both of these planets fairly soon. So many experts think this survey will show a thousand more of these Kuiper-Uffel objects in the coming years, and which can provide the data to firm up the theory of the UC planet. But if the researchers don't find what they're looking for within a certain amount of time, both these theories could end up being tossed out for good. Or at least someone comes up with some very, very tantalizing evidence in the future.
