Victor Alpha 3 Victor with CX-40. Okay last thing I promise. NEPA 25. This is basically a North Pacific marine heat wave. The World Meteorological Organization they've dubbed it NEPA 25 November Echo Papa 25 Alpha so NEPA 25 Alpha and it's basically people just call it the blob. Essentially what it is is that there's an area of approximately 8 million square kilometers of water in the North Pacific that's basically the size of the continental US and it's it's about half a degree to two degrees of pinwheel where you're measuring it above average and it was initially believed to be the fourth largest marine heat wave in the Northwest Pacific since monitoring began back in 82 but there's some new data from Copernicus that has yet to be validated but it likely will be validated that will actually bring it to the number one position so it'll actually be the biggest warmest that we've had. Regardless because it's such a long duration and intense heat wave it has been smashing records starting in August 2025 and the scientists are basically trying to figure out the mechanism and cause of this. There are a number of things that do work hand-in-hand. There's been a lot of high pressure systems so ridges of high pressure and they work hand-in-hand to help heat these waters because they create sort of an atmospheric lid right you have sinking air the air that sinks it heats up warms compression and this heat energy gets translated into the water the water absorbs it. Weak winds so you have less mixing so it takes longer for the water to you know have that heat removed and then because of this lack of wind you have heat accumulation essentially right you also have a lot of thermal input the ridges tend to not necessarily be cloud free but there's far less clouds than there would be otherwise so you have far more thermal input through through light whether it's infrared or visible light or whatever it's rays coming in off the Sun whatever they may be getting water and helping to heat it further let me drop it
