Yeah, the only time a repeater comes in handy is if you have multiple people in your town or multiple people in your area because then with a Simplex hotspot, if they're far away, they both can hit the Simplex hotspot, but they won't hear each other. That's the only thing. And that's what I didn't like about my node when I had it up. And I still have that node here, the high-power VHF one that I had. And it still works fine. I don't have it on the air right now because I've got the repeater. So that's the only real thing, you know, if you've got multiple people. Because if you're talking and you're in the west end of town and you're talking on the node, I don't know that you're talking if I'm in the other end of town. I can still hear the node, but I'm hearing a one-sided conversation. And that's what's good about a repeater. You always get both sides of the conversation from a local ham to an over-the-internet ham. All local hams can still hear both sides. That's the only downfall with a Simplex node, is they can't.
