I am curious before you clear off there, I'm assuming this isn't your first rodeo, you probably have other telescopes, have you ever looked directly at the, have you had the opportunity to look at M-51 on a scope big enough to appreciate it? Maybe something bigger than Messier, or even if you only looked at it like Messier did, I don't know what size scope he was using. Back over to you real quick.
