One of the things that kind of struck me though is like, hey, what do you call that object there that's affecting the Whirlpool galaxy so immensely, in fact giving it some of its splendor. It's called NGC 5195 and to me that seems just like borderline criminal. For a cool little smudge, Messier, he kind of observed when Messier looked at these two, he noticed there were kind of two things, two parts to his smudge and the little one turns out to be NGC 5195.
