So I am climbing this hill path. They call it the grapevine. The base town was Wheeler Ridge. But this is the mountain range that separates the Los Angeles Valley to, or cuts off the Los Angeles Valley from the rest of California. Don't even know, mile marker, maybe mile marker 210-ish. But we're slowly climbing the path. And at 3 o'clock, I will be in Indio, California, which is our destination. I'll be staying about five miles down the street from where my dad will eventually be living.
