Hello there Brian, here is Joan KX2CW on Broadway Avenue in the Capitol Hill Behavioral Observatory. I'm like an anthropologist sent back from the 24th century to try to document and understand what went wrong in the 21st century. You know it is Star Trek canon that falls apart in the 21st century. And then the Star Trek future is born out of the ashes. You know we have a lot of, I'm not a sports ball fan per se, however the city of Seattle has a lot of great sports ball teams including the Sounders which is the men's soccer team or world understood football. And then there are the women's teams, although we have a hockey team, the Kraken, I thought was a great hockey team, but then there are women's teams like the Seattle Storm, the women's basketball league team, professional basketball league. Then there are the Majestics, the women's professional tackle football team who take the league quite often. And then I forget what the women's soccer team is named. And then there's roller derby, sorry, I mean not sorry. So there's a lot of stuff going on in Seattle and more than sports. Seattle is for example the burlesque capital of the US. But I'm sitting tight in my little perch here. I'm looking out. I'm thinking of the song Excellent Verse which both Peter Gabriel and Laurie Anderson released their own versions of in different keys but from the same master tape. We're working a project together. So if you've heard Peter Gabriel's Excellent Verse, they're standing on their heads there ready. That's me sitting in my perch, I'm ready. But then Laurie Anderson has her version of Excellent Verse. I have both versions. I like both but I love Laurie Anderson. Blah, blah, blah KX2 CW Alden, there was all my hands back to net. From the perch. Yes, we've got a ton of Seattle sports teams. Most of them are pretty good. They all hold their own there. So anyway, good stuff there, Joe. And the roller derby, I don't know. Is that like, I guess that is competitive. Yeah, I don't know. I can't say I know much about roller derby. So I'll have to look that one up and get myself well versed in roller derby. All right, thanks for that report there, Joe. And of course, Joe will be running the net 24 hours from now. So thanks for that, Joe. And we'll catch you down the log here. All right, next up here, Justin, how is your Sunday going? KK7 QES, please come ahead with the report. Well, hello, Brian and everyone on the net. Thanks for running in. I hope you're well. My Sunday is excellent. And thanks, Joan, for mentioning roller derby, which is just a seriously cool sport and endeavor. I love it. I'm a big fan of anything that involves skating, whether ice skates or roller skates or roller blades. It's super cool. Anyway, yeah, top of mind for me tonight is the Mariners. And I know not everyone's into sports ball, but boy, oh, boy, it's kind of a special thing happening right now. And the Mariners stealing a win from the Blue Jays in Game 1. It's big. And especially after us going through that series with Detroit and the very long game that we had a couple days ago, our pitching staff being on a little rest and the Blue Jays being pretty fresh, it was really fun to watch that tonight. So, yeah, and then I heard Jeff's report, and I loved it about thinking about a Mariners and Dodgers World Series. But I have to say, I'm personally pulling for a Mariners Brewers World Series, which would be pretty cool for the historical implications because the Brewers, Milwaukee Brewers, were originally the Seattle Pilots. It was our first professional baseball team here, short lived until they moved to Milwaukee. So the Mariners beating the Brewers in the World Series would really be like we are finally vanquishing our troubled past and moving on. Anyway, enough about that. This morning I got to go to brunch with my wife's parents and her sister and husband. We went to the Beach House Grill here in Kirkland. I had not been there before. It was really good food and great view out over Lake Washington. And kind of in a funny little serendipitous turn of events, the reason for us going to brunch is because their longtime friend Mark, who lives in Toronto, was in town visiting. And he's not a baseball fan, not a Blue Jay fan, but it was really great to see him. My in-laws met him. My wife's parents met him when they were traveling in Europe in the 70s. And he has become a lifelong friend. And so Mark feels very much like family to all of us. It was fun. We hadn't seen him in a few years. So good to catch up. And it was good food and just a great morning. Anyway, that's what's been going on over here. Brian, thanks again for running the net. KK7 QES. Hey, good stuff. I didn't know that about the Brewers that they originally the pilots. I did not know that. So that would be a good match up there. So I had a good time. Markfield, like, yeah, brunch with the family and stuff, you know, that Beach House Grill. I've been there once. I went there with a couple of friends and I guess as we were walking out, my friend is like, I think that's Jubal. I was like, what is a Jubal? Whatever. And I guess he's a I don't know if he still is or not, but a DJ for a morning show or something on I think it's ninety six point five or so. I don't remember which which Seattle station. I don't even know. But anyway, so. So he was too starstruck. And so I just went up to him. I was like, are you Jubal? He's like, yes. I was like, do you mind if my friend gets a picture with you? And he was like, oh, yeah, no problem. So anyway, my friend is too starstruck to ask, but me not being starstruck and having no idea who this person was, I didn't care. So anyway. All right. Good stuff there, Justin. Thank you for that report. We'll catch you down the log here. All right. Again, I'm Brian. K.E. seven K's at H. This is a nine o'clock net on the PSG repeater in Seattle, Washington. Been a long round. We still got four more to go. So let's get right to it.
