to you too and I'll be happy to have you here to everybody. It's actually Sunday morning over here, it's coming to quarter to six in the morning. I'm sorry I heard the gentleman mention the charge and then he timed me out. So unfortunately my note times out after three minutes so it cuts me off and I'll have to key up several times to get back in again. So if anybody's wondering what the spurious key ups were, it's me trying to reset the note. Yes I love that because I'm all excited. On Friday we have a good list on proper soric ducting and it was surprising where we got to and then yesterday we had an absolutely fantastic bit of ducting on. And I think people were working on two meters FM, working hundreds of miles. I just about managed 200 miles down to Cornwall. It looks at the map of the UK, it's that little weedy bit on the bottom left that sticks out into the Bay of Biscay. Just about 200 miles from where I live. I live there in an arid black hole. That's why I call it the Shire. I've got a lot of people on all the repeater maps in the UK that cover my little white spot. And I'm on my little white spot, no RF signal at all. But yeah it was fantastic. I was on the radio yesterday for 12 hours solid on two meters, calling people all over the country. It was unbelievably good. And of course I'm up and on because I can't speak because I'm all excited because it's supposed to be even better today. So I'm going to go down and do a little work on my antennas and see if I can get the one on the pump up map up even higher. If you want to get it in the looking, but three or four meters higher. And then we're going to be playing, but I've arranged several quite few schedules with people all over the country to try and catch up with them. But it was excellent. So yeah. So that's what's happening over here. I'm just playing lots and lots and lots of radio yesterday. And I'm going to be doing the same again today. I'm only through to popping on the Lake Washington there last night or until it's still there at 11am. But after that I was basically radioed out. I was talked out. I couldn't manage anymore time on the radio. I just had to go and see, you know, bingis because apart from a few candy bars I've had nothing all day apart from cups of tea and cups of coffee. But yeah, so that's the story here. As soon as it gets light, which is probably about 7.30, we should be out in the back garden with the ladders and see what we can do to have an even better day tomorrow. So yes, that's enough of us to say. You end us a report from the Shire at 2E0LLB. Back to you Bill, 2E0LLB. 2E0LRV, this is K7WFD. Well thank you for that report. That is very exciting. You're making troposphere ducting 2 meters. You're making contact hundreds of miles away. That is just amazing. I can see why you spend so much time at it and are going back to it. I always thought that phenomenon was much more common in the summer but I may be mixing that up with something else. Anyway, well I'll have to pay attention to see if the same thing happens over on this side of the Earth. Very cool. You're listening to the 9 p.m. PSRV Social Net. My name is Bill, K7WFD. And after round two is our traditional moment to take a look at the upcoming events that you might want to stay in touch with or on top of. And the usual first two, always in the first position, is the Radio Club of Tacoma hosting their open house, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Saturday the 18th. Also next Saturday the 18th will be, as always, the Simplex Net, which is on 146.56. It changed the frequency a while ago. Another thing coming up this week, just to pay attention to, the annual Great ShakeOut, which is sort of an earthquake drill. Well it is an earthquake drill to remind people to drop, cover, and hold. And just to get people alert to earthquake preparedness, which God knows we need in the Northwest because we've got big possible movements sometime. So that's the Great ShakeOut is going to be on 10-16, October 16th. 10-16 at 10-16 a.m. And as for you ACS members, there's going to be a brief radio drill as part of the event. So check in on the WNACS Columbia Tower Repeater. Let's see, what else do we have? Oh, a big event coming up on October 25th. The last of the season, our Rainer PSRG Rain or Shine. It's the Halloween Rain or Shine. The Net Extravaganza at Gasworks Park will be at the covered Gasworks by Lake Union on the east side of the park where that covered area is. It's very comfortable. If it's rainy, it'll be dry. And if it's chilly, well, wear your jacket. Wear a puffy jacket, baby. Do not send coffee if you need more motivation. Great time to do 3D events with fellow hands. Don't forget Halloween is coming up. Next PSRG's educational meeting is at 1.30 p.m. on November the 6th, Saturday, November 8th. It's available on Zoom. The topic is amateur radio in space. It should be a very interesting session. And that should take us down through the fall a little bit. We'll have more events as they come up. You're listening to the 9 p.m. PSRG social net. My name is...
