The event horizon telescope images, takes some images of supermassive black holes, and it's shown more than just the geometry of space time. They've opened up a window into the search for dark matter. Most galaxies now, most large galaxies like Milky Way, have, all of them have at the center, a supermassive black hole. And it's kind of like the chicken, which comes first, the chicken or the egg. And they're not sure whether these black holes were a product of the galaxy forming, or the black holes were what caused the galaxy to collapse. So schools kind of vote on that one right now. But most of these large galaxies so far that they've been able to see have these super huge black holes in their center. Oh.
