Research, research has suggested that life would probably have a horrible time on a planet around a white dwarf. The habitable zone, the region where temperatures are just right to support liquid water on a planetary surface, around a black, around a white dwarf. The stand somewhere from a tenth to a hundred the distance from the Earth from the Sun, so it would be hard to maintain a liquid water supply without evaporating off the planet. Drop it.
