So the Endurance, it sank in Antarctica in 1915 and it wasn't as well built for a voyage like that, the Polar Voyage as they previously thought. And the owner of the ship was likely aware of the problems around that. In Earth, Shackleton, he sailed Endurance to Antarctica in 1914 as part of a British expedition across the continent on foot. It was a failed expedition but they attempted it. And the ship became trapped in the ice of the wet L.C. And it remained there for 10 months before it sank. And supposedly, its rudder was torn off by the ice, so that's what caused the sink. But there's a new study that came out that suggests there's much more to it than just the rudder being torn off.
