Prior to the researcher's discovery, quantum tunneling had been observed in single particles, but physicists wondered if multiple particles could tunnel in a single time. And one way it could be done is by making materials extremely cold, transforming it to superconductors, by getting electrons to bind together into a so-called super pair. Super pairs, if you get enough of them, you can lead to what's referred to as an isodized imposed condensate. This is where you've cooled something down enough to get all these electrons together and make this big macro particle, which is essentially one big electron. Just copy.
