This is writing, especially now, it's writing for our time. It's sardonic, it is darkly hilarious. And the bad guys could stop anytime they wanted to, but they just can't stop because of their greed and corruption and they end up hoisting themselves on their own petards. And then the protagonists are always some weirdos, some misfits, eccentric people. There's always a hint of some relationship after the end of the novel, so there's a touch of romance. So I've read, let's see, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight of them so far. And I went to local bookstores to look for all the ones that I could find locally and bought them. And then I ordered the ones that I couldn't find. So I have a stack of one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine Carl Hjassen novels on my to-be-read stack. And there's so much more. I could tell you about Tess Gerritsen, I could tell you about Carolyn Graham, but I'll just say 33, KX2CW, all the numbers, and Joan on Broadway. Back to that.
