KC4YC and then I got a call and a message from a, well a message actually, an email from a lady in Virginia and she was a recruiter with a new accent and she looked legit and staffing service but I looked at the job description and I said no this is not going to fit my needs and much much lower pay than what I typically make, much lower and I said no this would be perfect for somebody just starting out, definitely not me. So yeah I came up and talked with a buddy of mine who is an engineer and a former supervisor of mine and he works for one of my former employers and worked for him when I lived up north so reached out to him, explained my situation and he is going to try to help me out. Probably been on board as a contractor, do a 1099 and I have been working for one of my old companies with a customer for about two or three months up in the panhandle of Florida. I don't quite know all the details yet, I was hoping to get back to me this week but being one of the big engineers for the corporate side of the company he stays really busy so I might try to get a hold of him if not next week and maybe this weekend or something, we will see. There is also ZipRecruiter, the nice thing about ZipRecruiter is they have an AI tool and you log in and you look at stuff and the AI tool basically says, well hi I know you are looking at this and got some recommendations for you and check them out if you are interested sort of thing which is a lot better than talking to somebody with a thickening accent who claims to be a recruiter but I have my serious doubts.
