Well I have to say my N-FED tunes well over the range it was designed for. But I tried once or twice at 80, not to try it again, and it just wasn't happy. I might try, I've got an external tuner also, so I might try tuning it with the external, and then the radio is just going to see the external tuner so it will be happy and push power like crazy, and then I'll let the external cheapie tuner deal with it instead of making that internal tuner work hard.
