Yeah, I've built quite a few of those in the past. I also found that 5 foot by 8 foot or 5 foot by 9 foot, basically the size of a ping pong ball table, work a little bit better. You can do a lot more with just that one extra foot. Your trains can stay away from the edge. They don't have to be right on the edge. You can get 24 inch corners instead of 22 or 18s. And it allowed you a lot more space. But it took up a lot more space. But at the same time, you take that same piece of plywood and you cut it into like 18 inch strips and put it along the walls. And suddenly you have an around the walls layout that doesn't seem to take up as much space, even though it takes up the exact same amount of space. It's just in a different format. And that's another neat little thing you can do with both HO and N or any scale for that matter. And yeah, you're right. When it comes to N scale, you can fit a whole lot more in a whole lot smaller space.
