From what I understand, if you're hooking up that way, the PiStar little interface would hook up to a radio, a handheld or whatever, and be your RF link. Which is what my little note is, it's just a duplex hat that sits on top of a Raspberry Pi and then instead of plugging into a regular computer, the Raspberry Pi does all the computer interface and it gives me the software there, it gives me the web interface to control where you're connecting. So not real sure.
