The wealth and power turned justice system into a sliding scale. Findings for the poor, loopholes for the rich, and immunity to the connected. Responsible spending. We expect physical disciplines. Instead, both parties spend like drunken sailors. They act shocked when the debt ceiling becomes a weapon instead of a limit. Truthful propaganda. There is so much propaganda going on out there, it's unbelievable. That's why we don't know which end is up half the time. We expect straight talk, and that's what we should get. What we get is messages, narratives, and strategic framing. Fancy words for propaganda wrapped in patriotic colors. Accountability. Now this is a really big one. We expect consequences for failures. Instead, corruption is a resume booster. Screw up the war, you're promoted. Mismanage billions, you're appointed as the commissioner to study the problem. Oh, this is another one I like. There's one more reset. Goblets and basic governance. We expect the lights to stay on, the borders managed, and the roads maintained. And the mail delivered, but they hold hearings about UFOs before fixing potholes. We got a lot of that here in Blue Springs. We got a lot of potholes, and they talk about anything but the potholes, and it's usually stuff that just doesn't matter. Only two more. I'm going to go ahead and do them. Nonpartisan public service. We expect government workers to serve the nation, not a political tribe. So, you know, we're supposed to be representing the people, not a particular ideology. And respect the citizens. We respect government to remember who it works for. The people, right? We the people. But it's treated, it treats the public like children who must be distracted, manipulated, and occasionally placated. Not in form, trusted, or respected. I got a perfect example of that one. I sent off a letter about two bills that passed in Missouri, and the public got to vote on it, and they voted on both bills, and they were approved. And then the Congress, you know, the state representatives changed the law. Mostly Republicans that tried to do this, and they succeeded. And I sent a letter to them, an email to them, and I got back one email from one of the politicians, and basically it says, well, the bill was not worded right when you went out and voted on it. And there's so much more to it, and you guys are just too damn stupid to know what really it's all about. So that's why we're getting these two bills reversed, and you're not going to get them anymore. You're not going to get these particular services or rights anymore. So there you go. They say we're too stupid to know better, and they're going to choose even though we do vote. Anyways, I guess that's my rant for the day. KV0MAI.
