Yeah, well there is Bluetooth but the protocol is special for a Kenwood and yeah that would be a way to do it and there is a box form function and well the D74 has got to be you know the mill grade you know vibration and weather proof test and just everything sealed up you know regarding external connections. Well the Bluetooth connection will keep it that way plus you can record you know on an SD card your key cells on it so you don't have to log that way as it were. And it's got plenty of data functions so you know APRS etc. which I haven't used much. I've had an intermittent problem once I had a D74 blow up from hearing my name called and I had the charger plugged in because it does draw a lot of current and take down a battery pretty quick. It was charging and I heard my call unplugged and keyed up within about a second and a half and you should wait about six or seven seconds for the computer to go okay am I supposed to be on battery, can I transmit, it has to decide all that and if you key up too soon it just blows the charge IC and then it's in a reboot cycle because the I2 bus is not coming up when it boots. So that problem yeah but no you get one of those and find a good way to mount it or finish the probably keep it in. Gotta somehow keep it from flying away on a good mount on it because the motor can give you a good healthy bounce unexpectedly and it'll take the shock you just got to make sure it stays there. So yeah I don't know I'd check out motorcycle optional you know can look for motorcycle accessories should have something for ham radio or the ham radio I don't know keep checking and this is KJ7V EU back to you.
