Yep, when I was younger my wife and I were newly married. We used to get in the car and drive from Alkahona up into the mountains to Alpine. Or not to Alpine, but up to Julian because they had a, it's an old town in the mountains up there. They had pies with ice cream and a soda shop. We used to drive up there and get a pie with an a la mode. Then we would drive back going a different way so we would end up going through Poway and they had a Pizza Hut. We would stop at Pizza Hut and get a pizza on the way back. That would be our day trip for us just to get out of the house and do something. We didn't really have money to do a whole lot, but we could jump in the car and drive up there. We had to eat anyway so we had the pie for lunch and pizza for dinner. Basically all I had to do was pay for the gas. It was nice. The innocence. I love it.
