KJ7VEU, okay, now I recognize that call. Good to see you, or hear you I should say. And I looked up, it's a Kenwood, it sounded like you said a TM9000, but I see there's a TR9000, 2-meter multi-mode transceiver. That looks like a really classy radio, full-on analog meter in the front, a digital display, good looking Kenwood style. I definitely enjoy that radio. I hope you get that thing running satisfactory for you. And I'm sorry to hear about your broken pin. You know, I have a BNC connector that I connect to my IC705 for use. And the pin in there was like so perfectly in the center that the iCom wouldn't touch it and it would be intermittent. And so I ended up taking a pair of pliers and just ever so slightly bent that pin. Then it would make a great contact and now it's a perfectly serviceable plug. But yeah, these mechanical issues are such a bummer. But overall I like BNC connectors. My Kenwood has a SMC adapter and I don't like that. You've got to screw it in and screw it out. Where a BNC you just pop it in, turn it, and it's locked in. I like that much better. But of course they're much bigger. If you want a small tidy connector I suppose you've got to go with an SMC. But anyway, hopefully you can get all that solved. But otherwise the audio when it's coming in just sounds great. Very nice audio. Like you say, very quieted. No problems there. So yeah, just fix that little issue and you'll be cooking with gas as they say. Alrighty, that's the end of another wave. But if you're out there I'm ready for you. Call sign and name please.
