Hey Joan, oh yeah, you got me thinking about this, my minor forays into science fiction. I haven't done a lot of it, but I guess I really did get, decided to get hooked on it. Well, I decided to not dismiss it with Kurt Vonnegut back in the day because some of his stuff had a real science, you know, science fiction elements to it. But later, after I knew a whole bunch of people that were like pioneers in the, in the computer like revolution that's been going on in the early 90s that turned me on to Neal Stephenson and that, he's pretty much been like the only one that I can really like love a lot. And actually I had the pleasure of actually forging with him at a little, at a little get together over in Kent. On a couple of occasions we got to forge metal that we actually smelt it and it was pretty cool stuff, I'll tell you, tell you about it some other time when I don't have a timer on me, anyway. That's it, so I'm going to then go on to the next person on the list which will be, da da da, it's W8PLZ, David, David, how are you? I'm doing well, thank you very much sir. I hadn't heard the name Robert Hyland in years, I used to love this sci-fi many, many, many years ago, Stranger in a Strange Land, I believe that was back in 61, happens to be the year I was born. Not much going on, I'm a newly minted ham radio operator and I was, I'm grateful that I was able to get my father's call sign back from when I used to sit on his lap and watch him tune in to people from all over the world. I had his old Collins transceiver, lots of tubes and the nice smell of dust burning, not burning but warming up if you will. And tomorrow I'm going to my first rain or shine up in Woodinville, so I'm looking forward to that, looking forward to joining the net more often and getting to know some of the folks, it seems like a wonderful community. I'll turn it back over to you, 73W8PLZ. This is repeater station kilo, kilo seven, November, Quebec, November, all star node 6222, located in Shelton, Washington. I know another dear friend of mine, W6BJH over in Duval did the same thing, she went for grandfather's call sign. And it was like, it was wonderful to see her blossom. She had been a ham for a long time but later decided to upgrade her call sign to being her grandfather's and actually I'm staring straight at his radio right now, I'm actually operating on his radio. It's an old ICOM, let's see what ICOM, what is that, what is the rest of it, 228H or something like that, yeah. It's my main station radio, I have two of them and yeah, so very cool and welcome to the club and I can't wait, you got to check out our Halloween gig over at Guesswork parks if you can. Yeah, if you come up from the island, it's worth the trip and it's really, yeah, it'll be when there's a maximum of many people like will be there and it's, I arrived too early last year, had to leave too early for another commitment but if you got there, you know, like 10 or 11, you didn't really start ramping up to, it's definitely a VIP meeting for PSRG, you know, people, so alrighty. And so let's go now to, yeah again, thank you for checking in David. Let's go to KJ5DZJ, I hope I got that Z right, no there's a D, VJ, KJ5DZJ, bring it please. OK.
