Hello and good morning. I think the name given by the other station was also Tim, but not this Tim. I'm Tim in Shoreline. The other Tim is probably not in Shoreline. Yeah, it's a little cloudy today, a little cooler. The painting project that I was doing for Friends House up in South Everett is mostly done, I was going to put another coat on the railing and so forth, but I've got other stuff planned for today so I probably won't do it. Besides, I'd like a little more sunshine. I've been getting a late start because of course I've got to wait for the dew to dry each morning. It's on the west side of the house, so it takes quite a while. Anyway, that project is almost done. I've got about four HTs, different brands and models here in my hand. Well, only one or two at a time, but they're all different. It's so difficult to figure out how to do any field programming on these things because everything is so different from one radio to the next. Even the bow fangs, I've got a UV82 and that's different than all the other bow fangs. They're all a little different. It can be frustrating. Anyway, that's what I'm working through this morning. I've got a friend that's going to be out in the field doing some, I guess, working with some state forestry group and wants to know if I can get any of my radios to get on these frequencies. These frequencies are not in the hand band. I know the bow fangs and these other Chinese ones can do that, but field programming radios can be a pain. When you're dealing with four different radios that are all different, it's quadruple pain. Anyway, just trying to work on that to see what radios will work on the necessary frequencies like 164 MHz and all that kind of good stuff, which is definitely out of the hand bands with permission, of course.
