Well, my experience is I have yet to find a radio club I like. I think there's a lot of them that set up their club so they could be clickish and choosy. And then, you know, it seems that there's a great deal of them that like having their club so they can taunt their non-members. So that's definitely no club I would like. So yeah, I have yet to find like a meaningful club that actually wants you in it because I see dollar signs when they start hyping up their stuff. So I see that more times than ever, right? Like in Toronto and in Western New York, one of the things you have to do while I'm taking a page off of older hams is when you get on two meters and you go on and you can chunk repeaters is you make sure it's not club-owned. Sometimes it's hard to do because sometimes you just plain don't know and other times, well, you'll find out. One way you usually find out is you get on and you talk like you and I are doing right now but then some moron comes on and says, hey, you boys, you should really join the club. The dues are blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, newsletters and all of that and they seem to be pretty pushy. That is my experience with most of the repeater radio clubs. So, insert good club, I guess.
