Eight is the number. Papa Lima Victor. Yes, you remember it. It's my dad's call sign. It still hasn't hit me fully that it's my dad's call sign that I finally got it. I think that it's just so awesome. He's up there somewhere smiling. Yes, it's the first day of fall. A beautiful season. Woke up this morning to a beautiful day here on Mercer Island. And it's a season for Thanksgiving and for all things goblins and ghouls and Halloween trick or treating. I love watching the kids go around trick or treating in groups. I remember when I did it as a child. It's like, I don't know, big time for kids. What else is going on? I spent most of my day yesterday trying to figure out antenna positions and different types of antennas that people have been kind enough to loan me. I'm in an apartment building and we signal, I think a Faraday cage is what it really is. That's what one hand operator called it and I kind of adopted the name. But I think we found a solution, at least temporarily. It looks like I have a Ed Fong DBJ1 in the window. And that is working with my little HT, my TID radio, TBH3+. So far so good.
