I still would be interested in finding out which studio mic you're using. That would be great. I'd be interested to find that out. I use an Electro Voice RE20 dynamic mic for one of my studio mics and then I have a Neumann U87 clone. That's a condenser mic. And both can do okay on Echo Link. But yeah, as has been pointed out, Echo Link does some strange things to the sound.
