So a direct quote from Sockman, he said, several recent studies report significant insect defines across a variety of human altered ecosystems, particularly in North America and Europe. Most such studies report ecosystems that have been directly impacted by humans or surrounded by impacted areas, raising questions about insect survivors in a more national area. So the research highlights the need for more comprehensive monitoring of all these insect populations in a variety of landscapes, not just landscapes, the humans have touched, but those untouched, and there's an urgency to addressing the climate change, which is responsible, which we're thinking is responsible for this. And by showing that even remote ecosystems, they're not immune, the study underscores the global scale of the biodiversity crisis that's now happening, is now showing up with that insect.
