So we're still in its final month. And if a solar storm comparable to the character that we have today, the effects could likely be catastrophic. Electrical grids are especially vulnerable. If you've got induced currents there, you can easily overload capacitors and transistors and ICs and everything else you can think of. And due to the cascading effects, one technology being dependent on the other. So disruptions could affect healthcare, water, sanitation, financial industry, etc. In the worst case scenario, scientists say it could involve a large-scale power outage that could affect a number of areas within many countries.
