Jack I was unaware of anything but the metal lids with the rubber seal and the ring you screw down on it I trusted it works good now when I was a kid my mother did she's melted paraffin imported over the top of the jam so We cook ours and she cooked theirs and poured paraffin we cook ours, but we freeze it then too, so It literally lasts forever Unless your freezer goes bad I guess so anyway. I haven't heard of that lid I don't know if I'd go for it. I trust these very much screw them down tight fact I turn them on tight when they're hot And then I tighten up again when they're cold to make sure they stay tight so Keep that oxygen out of there.
